Last summer he attempted to create an app, which was going well until the free trial ended.
He would be keen to hear from any league members with app-building knowledge.
Election of Officers
Chair - Amanda Brooks was proposed, seconded, and accepted by the Members.
Vice Chair - Jamie Thompson was proposed, seconded, and accepted by the Members.
Treasurer – Linda Stock was proposed, seconded, and accepted by the Members.
The Secretary and Fixture Secretary were voted in en-bloc.
Season 2025/2026
One new team, The Bowling Stones, have wished to join the League, this was duly accepted
by the Members. They will play at Tetbury United Services Club on a Friday night.
The League now consists of 50 teams, which means Division 4 will have 14 teams, and
Divisions 1, 2 & 3 will have 12 teams. Therefore, Division 4 will start two weeks earlier.
Review of ANother Rule
After a lengthy debate, it was stressed that ANother(s) must be nominated and made known
to the opposing Captain before the start of the game, and that they must play on the last leg.
Their names must now also appear on the score cards next to a star (*). This will enable
further monitoring of the rule.
Any Other Business:
(1) End of Season Competitions:
A few members kindly volunteered to help with these, and the Officers asked that Captains check that entrants are also able to make the finals.
£2 Sticker up fee was agreed.
Clarification was made for the following:
Senior Citizens cup age is 65+ for all entrants.
There is no limit to the number of entrants for the Senior Citizens and the Ladies cups.
One player per team for the Individual cup.
One pair per team for the Pairs cup.
Only the Team Captain can play in the Captains cup.
(2) Chris Brace Skydive - It was suggested that each team pay an extra £1 per player on
their first game, and this will be donated to Chris’s Just Giving site by the Treasurer.
The Officers stated that the League would then match whatever was raised by the
teams.
(3) It was requested that the Fixture Book text be printed in a larger font size.
(4) The next Meeting with presentations will be on Monday 4 th August, venue T.B.C.
There being no other business, the Chair closed the meeting at 9.10 pm.
